Invited Speakers
Prof. Mohammed Baalousha
Associate Professor
Center for Environmental Nanoscience and Risk
Department of Environmental Health Sciences
Arnold School of Public Health
Dr. Susanne Boye
Scientist in Polymer Separation Group
Analytical Department
Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung Dresden
Germany
Her research interests are in the detailed characterization of complex biofunctional polymers, biohybrid structures, branched architectures and polymeric drug delivery systems. She applies AF4 in combination with light scattering as a versatile tool to obtain information about their sizes, molar masses, conformation and loading properties.
Prof. Gaëtane Lespes
Full professor in Analytical Chemistry
Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour (UPPA)
UMR CNRS/ UPPA 5254
France
Her research area is the development, evaluation and validation of strategies for the characterization of nano-objects. She has developed multi-technique methods based on Field Flow Fractionation (FFF) coupled with light scattering and atomic mass spectrometry, combined with imaging techniques. Her research focuses on the physicochemical study of the behaviour and fate of natural and anthropogenic nanoparticles and associated trace elements in matrices of environmental and biological interest.

The textbook ‘Advanced Separation Techniques for Polyolefins’ appeared in 2014 and his latest textbook ‘Thermal Field-Flow Fractionation of Polymers’ was published in 2019.
Prof. Pierluigi Reschiglian
Full Professor of Instrumental Bioanalytical Chemistry at Dept. of Chemistry “G. Ciamician”, University of Bologna, Italy. Over 30-year experience on FFF and related methods, former graduate student at FFFRC, Salt Lake City, UT, US. Since 2009 he’s been dealing with technology transfer from academic research to entrepreneurship. Founder of two academic spinoffs, byFlow Srl e Stem Sel Srl, CEO. Stem Sel Srl brings to the market a novel instrument for fractionation, counting, and sorting of living cells, in particular stem cells. He will report about method, instrumental aspects and relevant applications.
